Behaviour Management Policy

All dogs must be assessed by one of our trainers before gaining access to daycare. This will happen prior to their first day with 1-hour assessment of the dogs suitability to be in a group environment. Feedback will be give to the owner upon completion. We will then make a recommendation for the dog/s based on their assessment. 

Principles

• We do not allow aggressive or fearful dogs
• We do not allow aggressive play
• We reserve the right to remove a dog from our care at any time

Walking Policy

• No more than two dogs will be walked at any one time, this will be up to the trainer’s discretion
• All dogs will be leashed on a collar or harness at all times
• Our trainer will always carry a mobile phone with them. In the event of an incident or emergency the manager will contact the dog’s owner
• We reserve the right to refuse walking a dog. This will happen if the dog is unable to be walked on the lead or with other dogs, is injured, sick or severely overweight, shows aggression or unpredictable behaviour outside and/or is potentially harmful to the walker, other people or other animals. 
• Puppies that are not fully vaccinated will not be walked.

Cancellation Policy

• We require 48 hours notice for cancellations
• No refunds on pre-paid services if cancelled later than the notice requires. 
• Days can be transferred if unable to attend for extenuating circumstances

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY 

In Applying for my dog to attend Fit Pup Pet Services Dog Daycare I acknowledge and agree that;

1. I represent that I am the legal owner or authorized guardian of this/these dogs.

2. In admitting my dog for services, I represent that my dog is in good health, is current on all required vaccinations and is free of fleas, ticks, and lice, and as not been ill with any known contagious viruses in the last 30 days.

3. I understand that Fit Pup Pet Services Daycare is a cage free environment and although all dogs are fully supervised I accept that the inherent risks associated with such an environment including but not limited to transfer of communicable illness, injuries occurring from playing with other dogs, which include bites, scrapes, scratches, and sprains and behavioural problems.

4. I represent that my dog is sociable and has not harmed or shown threatening behaviours towards any person or any other dog. I understand Fit Pup Pet Services reserves the right to remove my dog from the play area and place my dog in a separate holding area should my dog display any unwanted behaviours.

5. I understand that Fit Pup Pet Services reserves the right to permanently remove a dog from its daycare facilities at any time.

6. I am solely responsible for any loss, damage or harm caused or contributed by my or my dogs while it is attending Fit Pup Pet Services Daycare.

7. While my dog(s) is in the care of Fit Pup Pet Services in the case that I cannot be contacted I allow Fit Pup Pet Services staff to contact my veterinarian or any other accessible vet clinic as deemed necessary should any injuries require medical attention. I agree that I am solely responsible for any medical expenses acquired for my dog.

8. I agree to disclose any previous or current medical issues or concerns of my dog so that Fit Pup Pet Services staff can make a determination of suitability for daycare.

9. I release Fit Pup Pet Services Pty Ltd from any liability should my dog injure another dog or person and accept medical and legal responsibility for my dog’s actions.

10. I agree that my dog may be recorded on camera and its images may be used Fit Pup Pet Services promotional material. This content is also permitted to be uploaded onto social media for the general public, future training material and company documentation.

11. I agree to pick up my dog prior to closing time.  Should I fail to do so I understand I will be charged late fees in the amount of minimum of $15 up to 15 minutes and $1 per minute for every minute up to 6pm. I understand that dogs left after 6pm, I will be charged $60 in addition to the daycare fee to account for the late fee plus overnight boarding fee.

12. I agree to pay for any and all outstanding charges prior to or at time of pickup of my dog.

13. I will abide by all the condition set out in this waiver & release of liability, and all other rules and regulations placed upon me or my dog(s) while attending Fit Pup Pet Services Daycare. Rules and Regulations are on display at point of entry into Fit Pup Pet Services Daycare and are subject to change without notice.

I hereby Release Fit Pup Pet Services, its employees, sub-contractors, external services providers from all liability and indemnify Fit Pup Pet Services Pty Ltd from any and all claims of every kind and nature what so ever, arising directly or indirectly from my dog(s) participating in activities or use of services, including legal claims and medical expenses.
